I’m Mahya Mohammadi Kashani (Mahya MK) and I am a PhD student in Computer Science at IT-University of Copenhagen by mid-August 2021 in Copenhagen, Denmark. I also am one of ESRs (Early Stage Researcher) in REMARO (Reliable AI for Marine Robotics) network.
My PhD project mainly concentrates on designing a Bayesian-inference-based prospection method to improve the reliability of underwater robots. I aim to develop a probabilistic decision-making model to assess risks and use this model to assist in plan selection. Before joining the REMARO (Reliable AI for Marine Robotic) group, my main research interests focused on pattern recognition algorithms, particularly sparse reconstruction/coding and search space reduction in the Automatic Image Annotation task.
